Piazza del Quirinale, Rome, January 19, 2011
We are here because we have abandoned our responsibilities to children, parents, students, businessmen, workers, pensioners.
We are here because we can not remain indifferent to the deterioration of institutions and Italy's image in the world. We are here because
we can not turn away in front of the seriousness of the events that are coming to light.
We are here because we feel humiliated and offended by the conduct of the President of the Council to which Article 54 of the Constitution to fulfill the public functions that have been entrusted "with discipline and honor."
We are here because this is the way we respect and honor our history and our Republic: offer you our support, the support of ordinary people who are indifferent and do not have the strength to get angry.
We are here because we are confident that our democratic institutions can and must be returned to normal of a major Western democracy.
's why we are here today and we'll be here whenever you want it.
