During the two days of discussion Parliament had been convened in various anti-government demonstrations in Rome: for this reason the whole area around the House, Senate and Quirinal had been cordoned off and reinforced. A march was organized by FIOM, community centers, Action, Tenants Union, PRC Communist Party and Communist workers. In the midst of a group calling itself "Brigades for the release Monicelli" and certain committees of earthquake victims and activists Aquila Campania anti-landfill. In this procession joined a large demonstration of university students. The two processions marched peacefully and gathered shortly after noon near the Chamber of Deputies.
At that point, however, have begun Clashes between police and small groups of protesters, especially those belonging to the social centers. Many conflicts around the Senate, where a paper bomb was launched near Ottaviano Del Turkish. Several other paper bombs were thrown at the police who had cordoned off the area. Clashes in Grottino Lane, a stone's throw from Via del Corso, where a group of people with helmets and shields stormed three vans of the Guardia di Finanza. Here again throwing stones and sticks, assault with clubs and paper bombs. The police responded with tear gas and throwing positions. Some stones were thrown against journalists and even passers-by. The rest are ATMs and shop windows smashed, vans finance and cars burned. In Piazza del Popolo, there is a huge fire. There are forty wounded, including three policemen. Ten people were arrested. Now the situation seems quiet returned.
